A sound board was replaced by Steinway in 1960, thus having a diaphramatic shape, which was pattended by the Steinway in the 1930's.   The down bearing  has been carefully set by a son of Angelo Andino who has spent over 20 years at the Steinway factory.  Mr. Angelo Andino was previously a partner of Foust Pianos and was taught by the last original German immigrants at the Steinway factory.  The son still works at the Steinway factory as a belly man.  The piano received a new maple pin block and new Mapes strings all of which were professionally installed by the Angelo's son.   All new Renner action parts—shanks, flanges and whippens were installed and regulated by Steve Minkoff, another Steinway factory trained technician who has install new Renner hammers and voiced them and regulate the action.  Steve has also installed new dampers and regulate them.  New key bushings, usually neglected but one of the most critical aspect of action regulations, were  installed by anther Steinway factory technician.  The piano is 6’10.5” long and the serial number is 267995.  The piano has been professionally refinished in ebony.  We provide a 5 year warranty on the piano in writing and referrals from our previous Steinway customers.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at (201) 264-2433.   Piano Inspection: The pianos are stored in a climate controlled environment at 32 Irving Ave. Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632.  Please feel free to make an appointment by calling (201) 264-2433 for an inspection and playing.  You are welcome to bring an independent piano technician and have him/her inspect the piano before an auction’s ending, and of course to play!   Financing is available for a qualified customer by a third party vender.
