Description
Hailed as some of the best drums Sonor has made, here is a late eighties/early nineties Sonorlite kit in Scandinavian Birch finish.  Here's a link for more info:  http://www.sonormuseum.com/1987/sonorlite/sonorlite.html Up for sale is the whole enchillada:  9"x10", 10"x12" and 13" x 15" rack toms, 17"x22" kick and 7 1/4"x14" snare.  Included in the sale is also a one of a kind 13" timbale.  How is this possible if they never made one?  Well when I purchased this kit years ago, a gorilla at UPS sliced through the shipping box and cut through part of the drum.  The seller happened to be a professional furniture maker, so he took the shell to his shop and put this together.  It's sounds really great and is a conversation piece for other sonor nuts like myself.  Lemons to lemonade. Also included in the sale is the double tom holder and arms mounted on the bass drum, the hi-hat and snare stands as well as the straight cymbal stand, coveted double cymbal stand stand on the left that holds the timbale and one cymbal arm as well as the triple stand on the right that holds two cymbal arms and the 15" rack. These drums sound ridiculous.  If you want to hear them in action and happen to be a fan of Guitar Hero 3, that's me playing these babies behind Slash and Tom Morello.  The condition of these drums is excellent for being twenty years old.  The owner before me looks to have kept them in his basement for many years so they didn't see much road ware.  I was afraid of scratching the stands in my case, so I used them on only a couple gigs myself.  There's very little road rash on any of the drums and the throw off on the snare works like new.  There was a little wear on the bass drum hoop where the pedal meets bare wood, but it wasn't too bad and I covered it with a protective layer to keep it from getting worse. I'm selling these drums kicking and screaming because I know what I have.  I realize the price is steep.  Sorry about that but I need the money and know I could get it if I parted it all out.  I'd rather it all go to a good home and keep it from being orphaned.  Check out the photos for the amazing wood grain on these drums. PAYMENT:  I'd prefer not to use paypal as it's so expensive on an item of this value.SHIPPING:  I have no idea how much it will cost to ship these drums, so I'm putting it as $150.  If it's more than that for shipping within the continental US, I'll pay it.  If it's less than that I'll refund the difference with a copy of the receipt.  If it sells outside the US, you pay the full amount.
