Description
Selmer Paris model 365 Bb, A/F Piccolo Trumpet in flawless Silverplate over brass, with third valve slide thumb lever.  This is the current model they developed with the assistance of Guy Touvron.  It plays better old Selmer did.  I've had it for a few years but have had relatively few opportunities to really play out with it.  That said, if you've got the chops, she'll never let you down.  Perhaps not so free blowing as a Schilke or a Stomvi, she'll nontheless reward you in spades with the awesome tone these Selmers are justly famous for, and your intonation will be spot-on each and every time you reach for the high notes in The Prince of Denmark's March, or whatever else you choose to play from the back balcony of the chapel.  I don't have any Blackburn or Najoom leadpipes because I never felt they were necessary.  After all, Selmer brought these instruments back to life under the tutelage of my hero Maurice Andre and they've been tinkering with them for five decades now, which is enough time to get things right, I'd say.  Both are easily obtainable, though, if you feel you'd play better with them and wish to give them a try.  Include A and bB  both leadpipes and the extra first valve tuning slide.  No mouthpiece, as I figure you have your own favorite and I use the Schilke I play it with on other instruments as well.  Priced to sell at about half what a decent Piccolo will set you back today.  All valves and slides work freely.  Always kept clean and well oiled, and professionally played and maintained, to say the least.  Has never had a mute in it.  Please ask me any and all questions before you commit to buying.  Weighs 2lbs., 7 1/2 ozs. (930 grams)  Thanks for looking, PAX  p.s., if you need the absolute specs please go to the French Selmer site (www.selmer.fr), skip the intro, and click through the instruments, then brass, to this trumpet and click on the image.  I'd give you the link but it's screwy, and won't get you there for some reason.buy it now free shipping .
