Description In my opinion all the all Stradivarius models by Bach are excellent trumpets and they have become the industry standard for good reason-- they just do everything and they do it well.  There has never been a better bell made than the model 37.   However you may have have heard people talk about how every now and then they find one of those "special" Bachs that for whatever reason just seem to play better than the others.   This is such a horn.  This is a ML bore silver plate 37 bell Strad. made in 1970 during a timeframe that arguably among the peak of Bach workmanship eras (even surpassing the old Mt.Vernons) this is simply one of the best horns I've ever played.  The condition of this trumpet is remarkable for its age and it has obviously seen very light use and been very well taken care of.   The valves seem practically like new and compression is excellent.  Note that these older Bachs didn't yet have a frst valve finger saddle-- I find this much more comfortable to hold.  The serial number is 55692.  This horn is in excellent condition.   As shown on the photo there is a small area where the silver has become worn on the bell flare near the valve cluster.   There is a very small ding a few inches away from the Stradivarius logo on the bell-- it's so small the photo doesn't show it and you have to look very carefully to see it.  These are very minor issues but I'm telling you about them in the interest of full disclosure.  Why anyone would consider buying a new Bach when they could have a great vintage Stradivarius like this that plays better for almost half the price is beyond me.   This is the horn of a lifetime.  If it's so great why am I selling it you ask?  Because I'm endorsing another line of horns and this one... simply has to go.  Comes with a Bach case that's like new and 7C mouthpiece.   You will LOVE this trumpet!
