The serial number is 229, which means it was made in the middle 70's. I assume this was made by Zane Beck himself as the cabinet is real wood veneer not mica. It is a professional guitar with a pro sound and feel. It looks very good with just a few minor bar dings between the necks. Plays a lot better than most BMI's I've messed around with. The original hard shell case is still usable but pretty rough, I'd definitely replace it, if I were going to keep it. It has an Emmons setup with some extra knee lever pulls, LLL has a staggered knee lever as does the RLL. The quality of this guitar, for this price, is hard to find. It has no known issues & is ready for your gig. Awesome Christmas present for a starter guitar as it's a much better quality than student models are,  or for the semi pro weekend warrior.
