ORIGINAL SUNBURST FACTORY FINISH! 100% ALL ORIGINAL with CASE and AMP! This is a find of a lifetime, genuine closet sleeper. This beautiful relic is in MINT condition! As a late ‘61 produced 1962 Stratocaster this baby has all the markings of an instrument that would have had the hand craftsman ship of the pre CBS fenders. With every part original to the day it rolled out of the fender plant, it is truly a one of a kind! This fender is the Stratocaster model with the signature sunburst paint job. The Brazilian Rosewood slab fret board still sports the original frets and nut that are still in great condition. Every piece of the pick guard is completely original and functions the way Leo intended. The guitar has been cared for it whole life with qualified technicians making sure the neck is properly adjusted, proper string tension and intonation. Every piece of the string tension is completely original and shows little signs of oxidation. The electronics are completely original with no broken solder joints, and the pickups produce a perfect sound. As a note, about a decade ago one of the pots was replaced with an OEM replacement as the shaft had frozen. This replacement was very carefully conducted with great care and precision. The original pot is included with the guitar. With the original tremolo, tremolo cover, and the ORIGINAL strap, the only thing missing is the original documents and receipts. But wait it just gets better, also with it is the original tweed case, that’s right, the ORIGINAL case. The case is in fantastic condition, showing little proof of the age of this piece of rock and roll history. There is just one thing needed to make this the complete package, the original amp. The original tweed amp was often sold as a package that would complete this fabulous instrument. However this does not appear to be the case, as this is a 1955 fender deluxe, mod el 5E3, serial #D-01824, the amp is clearly older that the guitar but makes a great set. I have seen amps of this era in better shape, but this one is still a great show piece, has had very little play time and still sounds great. I have personally possessed these great pieces for as long as I can remember, as can be seen from the pictures included, yes that is me at 2 years old holding the same guitar, have a look at the date on the picture. I have included as many photos as I can to fully depict the condition and identification of these items. Every effort to describe this fine collectable to the fullest has been attempted and any comments and corrections are welcome.
