I am selling one of my BABIES in order to help fund a business venture... This is the very guitar that was pictured earlier this month on the FRONT COVER of Vintage Guitar Magazine (October 2008 Vol.22 No. 12). She has been known for years as "The Bearded Lady" due to the patch of "Red" left relatively unfaded where a Bigsby had been previously installed decades ago!. She is a 100% ORIGINAL 1959 Les Paul Standard...THE REAL DEAL. No repaired cracks or other red flags. This is a players '59 and she has the battle scars to prove it. If you want a CLEAN '59 then she is not your girl but if you want the TONE that most people can only dream about this guitar has it in spades - which is why she has been played so much all these years! Besides the filled holes on her butt where the Bigsby was attached and a pro refret, all else is ORIGINAL. I will be happy to answer any and all specific questions regarding this guitar by seriously interested parties. I will also provide specific pictures upon request. no tire kickers please!! This is a real auction for a real '59 Les Paul with documented provenance. If you don't intend to purchase this guitar please don't hassle me or make bids that you can't back up financially! It will be obvious to those that look into the VG article who I am, and hopefully that, along with my perfect Ebay record will give those people that are serious about this instrument the confidence to bid or proceed with contacting me about this instrument. This guitar (in case there is any question in your mind) is the one pictured on the far left in the picture of the four bursts. The guitar comes with it's original case and a letter of provenance from a universally acknowledged expert on vintage Gibson Les Pauls.
