It is a Martin D-45 that was produced in 1941. A REAL, honest to goodness, pre-war D-45. It is a real dream guitar. This particular guitar is serial number 78879 which dates it to be a 1941. The guitar was refinished by Martin we are told in the 1970s. At that time there were numerous cracks that were repaired in the top. The pickguard and bridge have been replaced as well. The back and sides appear to be crack free. The sound is tremendous. I have had the rare opportunity to play a few of the magical 91 guitars and all of them certainly have been very special. This one has a huge, round type tone with a great bottom end. It retains it's original engraved, gold plated tuning machines. It comes in an original Martin case that would date from the 1950s. This is a very rare opportunity to have the chance to purchase one of the true classics in American guitar manufacturing. PAYMENT IS EXPECTED WITHIN 3 DAYS.
