See more about '1925 Gibson Granada Tenor Banjo' Description  For sale is a 1925 Gibson Granada tenor banjo w/ OHSC in very nice condition.  Serial number is 8208-6.  100% original with the exception of a screw on the tailpiece.  The neck is straight and the two-piece flange is in near perfect condition.  This is a rarity for a Gibson banjo of this era.  This instrument features a ball-bearing tone ring.  This first year Granada model has a curly maple neck and resonator, with gold-plated, engraved, and burnished (dulled) hardware. The fretboard is Brazilian rosewood and the instrument is inlaid in the "hearts and flowers" design.   There is some wear to the finish on the back of the neck up to about the sixth fret.  Finish on the gold hardware is dull but in pretty good condition.  Maple wood on the neck and resonator is gorgeous!  There are the obvious dings and light scratches, but overall, the finish is in very nice condition for a an 83 old instrument.  This old girl has spent a lot of her time in the case lately, but is ready now for a conversion or a good ragtime band.Please ask any questions before you bid.  I will be happy to take more photos or talk to you on the phone (573-358-2488) to give you a detailed in-hand description.   Preferred payment is bank wire transfer or certified bank cashiers check but I will take Paypal.  Funds need to be received no later than 7 days after the close of the auction.  Shipping will be by UPS ground and will be $100 for all 48 states (includes professional packing and full insurance).  I will ship internationally and will try to provide the cheapest service through USPS Express.  Be advised that your country may not allow a package this size or you may not be able to fully insure the purchase.  Full insurance and tracking can only be provided for international shipments via UPS, Fed Ex or USPS Global Express.  Obviously, the cost is much higher.  If you are an international buyer, please research the type shipment you wish to use.  My zipcode is 63628.  Please ask all questions before you bid.  I will accept a return for full purchase price to include shipping only if I have failed to disclose any serious issue that would cause the instrument to have a significantly lower value than the agreed upon sale price.  Please read my feedback and check me out on my "All About Me" page.
