EXCELLENT ORIGINAL COND.' Description As seen in the picture, this is a very early pianoforte in very good original condition. It was built by the George Astor Company in c. 1790. It is complete and very rare. The Astor family was once one of the richest families in the United States, principally from their tobacco industry involvement. Later, they took on other ventures, such as exquisite piano building, for which this period piece is an excellent example.
